This talk is designed to deepen our understanding of how trauma affects our mental health. You will learn what happens in your brain and body when you face traumatic events, especially if you struggle with anxiety or depression. We will explore the impact of trauma, helping you with basic coping strategies for yourself, and to better support the people you care about.
Trainer: Ms Jean Tay is a counsellor and psychotherapist with over 30 years of experience in people-development, education and caregiving industries. She is the founding Clinical Director of Life Journey Consultancy. With specialisations in loss & grief recovery, and brain-based therapies for trauma work, Jean is passionate to see people healed, nurtured, and empowered. She is equips counsellors and serves as an associate faculty member at a university. Additionally, she acts as a clinical supervisor at various universities as well as in community and private settings. She currently worships at Bethesda Bedok-Tampines Church and is married with 2 adult sons.
