We will be organising a series of talks to address key issues that are prevalent in our daily lives, either in our families, our workplaces or even within church. We are calling this series, “Ask Me Anything” as we will have a good portion of time set aside at each talk for the speaker to address our burning questions on the topic.

We will kick off this series with the topic of mental health, specifically the general misinformation and negative stigma that surrounds it. This comes on the heels of news reports on the rise of suicide among our younger generation in Singapore, as well as studies by Christian organisations such as Focus on the Family on the mental health landscape in our churches.

We are inviting Deputy Senior Pastor Chua Seng Lee from Bethesda (Bedok-Tampines) Church (BBTC) to share on this topic. He has intimate knowledge and practical experience in pastoral care for mental health-related issues, and has written a book on overcoming depression among young people. He is also an active collaborator on a national level, and is involved in building up a national Christian network for raising awareness and obtaining treatment in the field of mental health.
