Consent & Terms of Use

Welcome to the CMC Trellis (Church Management System) (“CMC Trellis”). This Terms of Use Policy (“Policy”) governs your use of CMC Trellis provided by Christ Methodist Church (CMC) (via the ‘Sojourner’ platform by Greenfossil Pte Ltd). By accessing or using CMC Trellis, you agree and consent to be bound by the terms and conditions set forth in this Policy. If you do not agree with any part of this Policy, you should not use CMC Trellis.

  1. Access and Use of CMS

1.1 Eligibility: To access and use CMC Trellis, you must be at least 13 years old or have the necessary legal authority to represent the person that intends to use CMC Trellis. By accessing and using CMC Trellis, you represent and warrant that you meet these eligibility requirements.

1.2 Registration: In order to use certain features of CMC Trellis, you are required to create and maintain an account, and to provide accurate and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must promptly notify us of any unauthorized use or suspected breach of security.

1.3 Authorized Use: You agree to use CMC Trellis solely for its intended purposes and in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and this Policy. You shall not use CMC Trellis for any unlawful, harmful, or unauthorized purposes, including but not limited to:

(a) Violating any applicable laws or regulations;

(b) Uploading, transmitting, or distributing any content that is unlawful, harmful, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable;

(c) Interfering with or disrupting the integrity or performance of CMC Trellis;

(d) Attempting to gain unauthorized access to CMC Trellis or any related systems or networks;

(e) Engaging in any unauthorized data mining, scraping, or harvesting;

(f) Impersonating any person or entity or falsely stating or misrepresenting your affiliation with any person or entity;

(g) Collecting or storing personal information of other users without their consent;

(h) Engaging in any activity that may impose an unreasonable or disproportionately large load on our infrastructure.

  1. Intellectual Property

2.1 Ownership: CMC Trellis and all its contents, including but not limited to text, graphics, images, logos, and software, are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You acknowledge and agree that you do not acquire any ownership rights in CMC Trellis or its contents.

2.2 License: We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use CMC Trellis solely for its intended purposes and in accordance with this Policy.

  1. Personal Data & Confidentiality

3.1 Data Collection and Use: We may collect and process certain personal data in connection with your use of CMC Trellis. Our data collection and use practices are governed by our Personal Data Protection Policy, which forms an integral part of this Policy.

3.2 Confidentiality: You agree to treat any confidential information or data provided by us or obtained through CMC Trellis as confidential and not disclose it to any third parties without our prior written consent.

  1. Termination

4.1 Termination by You: You may terminate your use of CMC Trellis at any time by discontinuing your access and ceasing to use CMC Trellis.

4.2 Termination by Us: We may suspend or terminate your access to CMC Trellis, in whole or in part, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including but not limited to a violation of this Policy.

  1. Disclaimer of Warranties and Limitation of Liability

5.1 Disclaimer of Warranties: CMC TRELLIS IS PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS, WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

5.2 Limitation of Liability: TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL WE BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE CMC TRELLIS, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

  1. General Provisions

6.1 Modifications: We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue CMC Trellis, in whole or in part, at any time without notice. We may also modify this Policy at any time by posting the revised version on our website. Your continued use of CMC Trellis after any such modifications shall constitute your acceptance of the modified Policy.

6.2 Governing Law: This Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore Any legal action or proceeding arising out of or relating to this Policy shall be exclusively brought in the courts of Singapore and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.

6.3 Entire Agreement: This Policy constitutes the entire agreement between you and CMC regarding the subject matter hereof and supersedes all prior or contemporaneous communications and proposals, whether oral or written.
